About the Firm

Built on Experience. Grounded in Practice.

Woermer Law Firm was founded on a simple conviction: that clients deserve an attorney who understands not just the law, but the real-world financial decisions that shape a family's future.

Our Story

A Career That Started at 15

Attorney Matthew Woermer's path into law began earlier than most. At age 15, he joined a law firm as a clerk — an experience that gave him a ground-level understanding of legal practice that formal education alone cannot provide. It was there, under the direct mentorship of trust and estate authority Attorney Henry Marlor, that he developed the deep, nuanced command of trust and estate law that would define his career.

Before entering private practice, Attorney Woermer served as a summer associate at Uniroyal Chemical Company, where he worked alongside experienced counsel on complex litigation and corporate financing matters. That exposure to high-stakes transactional and litigation work broadened his perspective and sharpened his instincts in ways that continue to benefit his clients today.

He has been an active litigator and estate lawyer since 1991 — more than three decades of focused, hands-on practice across trusts, estates, real estate, and financial restructuring.

What Sets Us Apart

Legal Knowledge Meets Business Reality

Beyond his legal practice, Attorney Woermer is a principal in several real estate investment companies that manage and develop residential properties. This is not a peripheral interest — it is a defining dimension of his professional identity. When clients come to him with questions about property transactions, ownership structures, or the intersection of real estate and estate planning, they are speaking with someone who has navigated those decisions himself. That balance of legal knowledge and business application makes him an ideal partner for clients whose financial lives are complex, multifaceted, and consequential.

Our Approach

Counsel That Goes Beyond the Document

At Woermer Law Firm, we believe that the best legal work happens when an attorney takes the time to truly understand a client's situation — not just the legal question in front of them, but the family dynamics, financial goals, and long-term intentions that give that question its full meaning. We do not process clients. We advise them. Every engagement begins with a genuine conversation, and every plan we craft is built around the specific circumstances of the person sitting across from us.

Let's Have a Real Conversation.

Whether you are beginning to think about estate planning or facing an urgent legal matter, we are ready to listen and to help.
